At Wave BJJ, we offer a structured 4-week introductory course that you can join at any time in the cycle. This course is designed to provide you with a solid foundation in the basics of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and it is the ideal starting point for anyone looking to get comfortable with the fundamentals of this martial art. Each class in the course consists of a movement element, a self-defence technique, and a submission, ensuring that you develop a well-rounded understanding of BJJ.

The four-week course covers different positions each week, allowing you to gain a comprehensive understanding of various aspects of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. In the first week, you will learn about the mount position, followed by the closed guard position in the second week. In week three, you will focus on the side control position, and in the final week, you will explore the back control position. By the end of the course, you will have a solid foundation in BJJ and be ready to continue your journey with confidence.

We understand that everyone has different schedules, which is why we offer longer and shorter classes to accommodate your needs. While we recommend attending at least two classes a week, our minimum requirement is one class per week. This flexibility ensures that you can fit your BJJ training into your busy schedule without feeling overwhelmed.

We have a diverse community of students ranging from 16 to 60 years old, of all sizes and fitness levels. If you're worried about what to wear to your first class or course, there's no need to stress. Simply wear comfortable gym clothes and bring some flip-flops to wear when you're not on the mats. We also offer free parking after 6:30pm, and there are plenty of pay-and-display spaces available near the gym if you arrive earlier.
