Located in Hervey Bay, Warrior Martial Arts School offers the Fraser Coast community a unique opportunity to build self-confidence while developing self-defence skills. Specialising in Aikido, the school is led by Sensei Darrin Beashel, who has been training in Aikido since 2001 and instructing since 2004.
Aikido, which literally means “The Way of Harmony and Spirit,” is a martial art that combines elements of Jujitsu and Aiki, focusing on fluid movement and redirection of an opponent's energy. At Warrior Martial Arts School, students are taught Takumakai Daito-Ryu Aiki-Jujutsu, which is deeply rooted in Aikido principles.
The school offers a range of classes throughout the week, catering to different age groups and skill levels. On Mondays, Daito Ryu Aiki Jujutsu classes are held from 3. 00pm to 5. 00pm.
Tuesday evenings are dedicated to Aikido, with classes running from 7. 00pm to 8. 30pm. Wednesdays are reserved for Daito Ryu Aiki Jujutsu from 6.
00pm. Thursday classes offer Aikido training from 5. 30pm to 7. 30pm.
On Saturdays, the Aiki-kids class takes place from 8. 30am to 9. 30am, followed by Aikido classes from 2. 00pm to 4.
00pm.
