Wanderers Football Club, located in Dublin 4, is a prestigious rugby club that prides itself on its rich history and strong legacy in the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU). Established in 1870 by former members of Dublin University, Wanderers is the second-oldest rugby club in Ireland. The club was instrumental in the formation of the IRFU and has made significant contributions to the sport of rugby.

With two clubhouses located at its playing grounds, Lansdowne Road (Aviva Stadium) and Merrion Road, Wanderers offers a vibrant community for rugby enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels. Wanderers has a proud tradition of producing top-quality players, with 87 Irish international players, 5 Irish captains, and 14 British & Irish Lions among its alumni. The club also boasts a diverse range of teams, including Men's 1st XV, 2nd XV, 3rd XV, U20s, and Women's XV, providing ample opportunities for players to engage and compete at various levels.

In addition to its on-field success, Wanderers is actively involved in promoting the sport within the community. The club organises various events, such as the annual Wanderers Annual Dinner, to celebrate its members and their achievements. In a bid to increase female participation in rugby, Wanderers initiated the “Turf and Surf” programme, collaborating with local surf clubs to engage players in a unique sporting experience.
