Since its establishment in 1946, the Waikanae Beach Bowling Club has flourished into a vibrant sports community. The club, located at 20 Huiawa Street, offers competitions and events for both men and women players of all skill levels. Whether you're interested in social bowls or competitive leagues, there's something for everyone.
Coaching sessions are available, led by experienced players Helen Alford and Eddie Martin. These sessions are held on Mondays during summer, with additional individual coaching upon request.
The club's history dates back to November 1946 when the first bowls were rolled, following Mr W M Field’s vision for a recreational area. Starting with 22 members, the club has grown significantly, now boasting a dedicated women's club and modern facilities.
