Established in 1982, our club is a fusion of the Victoria Polo Club and the Vancouver Island Polo Club, and we proudly continue the legacy of polo on the island. If you are new to the sport, fear not! The Victoria Polo Club offers introductory arena polo for riders of all skill levels, including complete beginners. Our enclosed arena provides a safe and comfortable environment for learning, with smaller teams, simplified rules, and a focus on rider safety. Whether you bring your own horse or ride one of our trained polo ponies, introductory polo is a fantastic way to dive into the world of polo.
In an effort to welcome new riders and horses to the sport, we host beginner slow and coached games every Sunday morning, as well as stick and ball practice sessions every Tuesday. These sessions are open to all who are interested, and we also have closed practices throughout the week for our members. If our scheduled days do not work for you, do not hesitate to reach out, as we are happy to accommodate different schedules.
