
Victoria Austin is a highly experienced and passionate Yoga instructor based in Lewknor, Oxfordshire. With a deep understanding and dedication to the practise of yoga, Victoria offers a range of classes suitable for all abilities, including beginners.
With over 20 years of experience, Victoria's journey in yoga began in 1997 when she started practising regularly with Ruth Lovell. Under Ruth's guidance, Victoria discovered her love for yoga and the potential of becoming a teacher herself. Encouraged and supported by Ruth, Victoria obtained her teaching qualification from the Sivananda Organisation in 2002, marking the beginning of her teaching career.
Throughout her yoga journey, Victoria has had the privilege of practising with various renowned teachers from different yogic traditions. This has allowed her to develop a broad understanding of the many paths of yoga, enriching her own practise and teaching style. In 2021, Victoria sought a fresh challenge and completed the teacher training course offered by the Forrest Yoga Community. This unique opportunity allowed her to train directly with Ana Forrest, a highly respected yoga teacher, without the need to travel to the USA.
In addition to her yoga qualifications, Victoria has also pursued studies in Ayurveda, completing a Diploma in Ayurveda Diet & Lifestyle at Ayurveda Pura under the guidance of Dr Deepa Apte in 2014. Ayurveda, often referred to as Yoga's sister science, is an ancient Indian holistic medical system that aims to achieve physical and mental harmony with nature. Victoria's expertise in Ayurveda further enhances her teaching approach, allowing her to incorporate holistic principles into her classes and workshops.
Victoria's classes are a blend of traditional yoga practises, including Asana (postures), Pranayama (breath work), and Relaxation. She offers both face-to-face and online classes, giving students the flexibility to practise in-person or from the comfort of their own homes. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced yogi, Victoria's classes provide a safe and nurturing environment for all individuals to explore and deepen their yoga practise.
