Bethany's practice is deeply rooted in an anti-oppressive framework, recognizing systemic violence and trauma, as well as resistance and resilience. As a settler living on the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, and the Huron-Wendat, Bethany is committed to confronting colonial, patriarchal, and white supremacist biases both internally and within the community. She actively seeks feedback and critique as she continues to learn and unlearn in her journey as a therapist.
In addition to running her practice, Bethany provides clinical supervision at Sexual Assault Centre Kingston. She believes in the power of ongoing personal growth and development, participating in therapy, professional development, and clinical consultation. Outside of her work, Bethany enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, and spending time outdoors with loved ones.
