Universal Health Studio Taekwondo, located in North Bondi, is a martial arts and fitness centre that is dedicated to promoting health and well-being for people of all ages and genders. Weekly class times are available for Cheetahs (4–6 years old), Tigers (8-12 years old), Teens & Adults (12+ years old), and Tiny Tigers (6-8 years old). There are also specific class times for different belt levels, including White Belt, Yellow Belt, and beyond. All classes take place at the Hugh Bamford Reserve in North Bondi.
In addition to Taekwondo classes, Universal Health Studio offers training tips and videos through their digital Dojang. These resources are produced exclusively with their Master Trainer, Adam, to help students better understand the form and function of particular movements in martial arts and exercise. The training tips and videos cater to different fitness and training levels, ensuring that everyone can benefit from the valuable knowledge provided.
One of the highlights of the studio is the focus on Taekwondo fundamental movements. These movements help develop coordination, strength, and balance. They vary in difficulty and may take time to master, but they are crucial for students' progress in their Taekwondo journey. By understanding the intricacies of each kick, including knee bending, using the correct part of the foot to hit the target, and the direction of the supporting leg movement, students can enhance their techniques and prevent injuries.
These fundamental movements are incorporated into patterns, one-step sparring, kicking combinations, and free-sparring.
