USMA Taekwondo has been dedicated to teaching traditional Taekwondo as created by General Choi Hong Hi. We are proud to be affiliated with the International Taekwondo Federation (ITF), which provides international accreditation for our students.
Located in Melbourne, Australia, our headquarters are based at 348/A Clayton Road in Clayton. We offer a range of classes for students of all ages and skill levels.
For children aged 5–8 years, we have specially-designed junior classes aimed at promoting health and fitness as a way of life. Through our programme, our youngest students are able to have fun while developing discipline, confidence, and resilience. They progress through a ranking system of colour belts, preparing them for more advanced classes as they get older.
Our combined and adult classes are designed for older children, teenagers, and adults who want to get fit and learn self-defence together. These classes are suitable for those with an intermediate level of proficiency, and provide a supportive training regime where members can have fun, gain confidence, and train with a diverse range of people.
For our senior ranking students who train at a highly competitive level, we offer advanced Black Belt classes. These sessions are by invitation only and are specifically tailored for those who hold the ranking of Black Belt (1st Degree and above). In these classes, our senior students refine their skills in sparring, patterns, power breaking, and special technique. They regularly compete in local, state, and international competitions.
At USMA Taekwondo, we prioritise the training and development of our instructors. We offer seminars, workshops, and testing opportunities up to 6th degree Black Belt. Our instructors are committed to providing high-quality instruction and are accredited by the ITF.
We also offer a range of benefits for USMA members, including international accreditation by the ITF, gradings by an ITF-accredited international instructor/examiner, and the opportunity to participate in tournaments, both local and overseas. We use Direct Debit arrangements for the payment of tuition fees.
