Sapphire Skaters, the roller skating club in Potters Bar, is excited to announce their upcoming roller skating event! This event is perfect for all children and teenagers aged 4-18 who want to learn how to roller skate or improve their skills.
The roller skating lessons offered by Sapphire Skaters are scheduled on Tuesdays and are booked in monthly blocks. This allows for better planning and individual attention for each skater. In addition to the lessons, there will be games and a roller disco, making it a fun and exciting experience for everyone.
Qualified coaches, who follow the BRSF syllabus, will be teaching the basic skating skills. They are dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for skaters to learn and improve. Grades 1-5 official certificates will be awarded to skaters, showcasing their progress and achievements. Moreover, the coaches are also skilled in teaching various other skating skills.
All the roller skating lessons will take place at Elm Court Youth and Community Centre, conveniently located at 336 Mutton Ln, Potters Bar, EN6 3BP. Spaces for each month's lessons are advertised in the last week of the previous month. For newcomers who want to give roller skating a try, trial sessions are available on the last session of each month.
Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced skater, Sapphire Skaters welcomes you. The coaches are happy to teach beginners how to skate, ensuring that everyone feels comfortable and confident on their skates. Skaters are free to bring their own inline roller skates if they prefer, as the lessons are suitable for both quad skates and inline roller skates. However, quad skates must have toe stops or jam plugs for safety purposes.
If you choose to book a block of lessons, hire skates are included in the ticket price. During the booking process, simply provide your shoe size to ensure the availability of the right skates. For those interested in trying out roller skating, a hire skate ticket can be selected for the trial sessions as well.
Please note that all tickets must be booked in advance, as walk-ins are not accepted. If you have booked a block of lessons, refunds are available up to 48 hours before the first session of the block. For trial sessions, refunds can be requested up to 24 hours before the session. It's important to remember that all tickets are non-transferable and can only be used by the person named during the booking.
For spectators who want to cheer on the skaters, there is no need to book tickets. You are welcome to wait in the reception area, where chairs are provided for your comfort. The doors to the hall will be kept open, ensuring better viewing opportunities. However, spectators should remain outside the hall unless they are assisting a skater or helping them during their first skate. For the safety of everyone involved, younger siblings who are not skating should also remain outside the hall.
