Todmorden Bowls Club

Welcome to Todmorden Bowls Club, the only crown green bowls club in the country with four bowling greens. Located in the beautiful Centre Vale Park, Todmorden Bowls Club has been a part of the community since 1915. Bowling is a simple yet challenging game played on a crown green with a hilly crown. The aim is to roll biassed bowls toward the target, known as the Jack.

One of the highlights of Todmorden Bowls Club is the Academy. The Academy is staffed by a team of experienced and friendly coaches who are dedicated to helping new bowlers improve their skills. They offer individual learning and coaching opportunities, with free bowls loan and tuition available. The Academy caters to different abilities and provides a range of bowling aids, including two bowls wheelchairs.

In order to compete in league and competition play, all bowlers at Todmorden Bowls Club must be registered with the British Crown Green Bowling Association (BCGBA). Becoming a lifetime member of BCGBA costs 12, and more information can be found on the BCGBA website.
