Welcome to The Yoga Room, a community-based Iyengar Yoga studio located in Huapai, Kume. Named after and developed by B. K. S.

Iyengar, Iyengar Yoga is a form of Hatha Yoga that places a strong emphasis on detail, precision, and alignment in the performance of postures (asanas) and breath control (pranayama). At The Yoga Room, we believe in the transformative power of yoga and aim to provide a space where students of all ages and abilities can practise and deepen their yoga journey.

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced yogi, we have a variety of classes suitable for everyone. Our highly skilled and experienced teachers are dedicated to guiding you through the practise, ensuring proper alignment and offering modifications and adjustments when needed. We are proud to be based in the beautiful St Chads Church, located at 7 Matua Rd in Huapai. This serene and inviting space provides the perfect backdrop for your yoga practise, allowing you to connect with yourself and find inner peace. Our studio is fully equipped with all the necessary props and amenities to support your practise, including mats, blocks, straps, and bolsters.
