Alisha has been working as a pharmacist in the UK for 7 years, with experience in both community pharmacy and corporate settings. However, she found that her career was becoming demanding and unfulfilling. In search of a solution, Alisha turned to yoga, practising with her mother who is also a yoga teacher. She quickly witnessed the positive impact it had on her life, both mentally and physically, as it helped to reduce her stress and anxiety, while improving her strength, flexibility, and overall well-being.
Having observed the over-prescription of medications in the pharmacy field, Alisha became passionate about teaching others how to manage their own conditions through yoga. She pursued Ashtanga & Hatha Yoga training in Goa, India, as well as Iyengar-inspired yoga training in Greece. Additionally, she continues to undertake additional training courses in the UK to expand her knowledge and teach various styles of yoga.
