Twenty years, and with our acquisition, we have continued to provide a welcoming and nurturing space for yogis of all levels.
At The Yoga Centre in Dorking, we understand that yoga can be intimidating, especially for beginners. That's why we place a strong emphasis on creating a supportive and relaxed atmosphere for all. Our highly trained teachers, Lou and Judy, have years of experience and a deep understanding of anatomy, ensuring that every class is safe and beneficial for our students.
Since the world has changed with the COVID-19 pandemic, we have adapted to the new normal by offering online live-stream yoga classes. These classes are not pre-recorded videos but interactive sessions that still foster a sense of community. We have also expanded our reach beyond Dorking, with clients tuning in from Germany, Spain, and Sweden. Whether you join us online or in-person at Oddfellowes hall in Dorking, our yoga is accessible to everyone, regardless of their fitness level or age.
The benefits of yoga are numerous, both physically and mentally. Regular practise improves flexibility, balance, and muscle tone. It also helps focus the mind, enhances concentration, and stimulates the release of serotonin, the happy hormone. Yoga can increase energy levels, improve overall well-being, and even aid in weight loss.
It also has a calming effect on the nervous system, promoting peaceful sleep and relaxation.
If you're new to yoga or want to deepen your practise, we offer beginner-friendly classes. Our team will guide you through the foundations of yoga, helping you build strength, flexibility, and confidence. We also organise special events, including yoga holidays in Spain, where you can immerse yourself in the practise and explore a beautiful location.
