The Water Rat Sailing Club, located in the Outer Harbour of Toronto, offers a unique and affordable opportunity for boating enthusiasts to enjoy small dinghy sailing, catamarans, canoes, and kayaks on Lake Ontario. With a rich history dating back to 1969, the club is run by a dedicated group of volunteers and has a strong community of over 200 members and their families. The club boasts one of the largest Laser fleets in Canada and hosts regular races and regattas for members to participate in.
Situated next to Cherry Beach, the club provides easy access to the water without the hassle of transporting boats, making it convenient for members to enjoy the sport they love. The club's motto, inspired by Kenneth Grahame's “The Wind In The Willows,” reflects the spirit of fun and adventure that members embrace while out on the water.
