Welcome to The Stables Yoga Centre, a sanctuary for the practise of yoga, pilates, and mindfulness meditation. Located just outside York city walls and right next to the Bishy Road shops, our centre offers two beautiful loft studios flooded with natural light. These studios are made cosy with underfloor heating and fully equipped for all things yoga.
At The Stables, we offer a wide range of classes and courses for all ages and abilities. Our daily yoga classes cater to beginners as well as experienced practitioners, and we also offer mindfulness courses, workshops, and fundraisers. We are proud to host internationally acclaimed experts and run various teacher trainings and continuing professional development (CPD) programmes for professionals.
One of the highlights of our Yoga Centre is our highly trained teaching team. Finding the right teacher for you is essential, and our team is dedicated to challenging and nurturing you in exactly the right way, inspiring you to keep practising through life's ups and downs. Each member of our teaching team is friendly, supportive, highly qualified, and very experienced, making them the best and most inspiring in York. Collectively, our team has over 200 years of yoga practise between us, bringing depth, understanding, and empathy to your efforts.

See below for class fees and a lower fee for students and anyone in financial hardship. Classes marked Open to All are suitable for everyone, including beginners. Classes marked Dynamic are not suitable for beginners.
We have a 24-hr cancellation policy. If you cancel more than 24 hours before your class, you will be refunded or your class pass recredited. However, if you cancel less than 24 hours before your booked class, you won't be refunded. For busy classes, please do cancel anyway via GTU, and if we fill your place, we will give you a credit (email us for that).
You will receive an email with a receipt for payment and a link to the class. The link becomes active about 15 minutes before the start time. Please plan to join the class at least 5 minutes early to settle in.
If you book in-studio and can't come in but would like to do the same class on Zoom, please just book and pay for the Zoom session and then let us know by email. We will credit the value of the in-studio class to your GTU account.
