Nature and reconnecting with our natural surroundings can bring about a sense of peace and balance in our lives. With this belief in mind, Helen, along with a group of like-minded individuals, established The Gathering Fields Retreat & Apothecary.

Located in the idyllic Trough of Bowland in Lancashire, just an hour away from Manchester and the Lake District, The Gathering Fields is a nature-based wellbeing centre. It offers a variety of therapies and activities designed to enhance overall wellbeing and promote a deeper connexion with nature.

The centre features an indoor barn and an outdoor space where workshops, retreats, family breaks, and community groups can take place. Surrounded by rolling fells and wide open countryside walks, the centre also boasts 3 acres of wildflower meadow, which is undergoing ongoing restoration. Outdoor learning and environmental engagement are integral parts of the experience at The Gathering Fields.

One of the main goals of the centre is to reconnect people with nature through various activities. The team believes that the simple things found in nature can bring the greatest peace. The wildflower meadow and magical woodlands provide a gentle space for individuals and groups to retreat from the busyness of everyday life.

The Gatherings Fields also supports a traditional Hay Meadow Restoration project in partnership with the AONB and the Green Recovery Fund. This project promotes conservation and economic recovery by preserving and restoring this rare habitat. The wildflower meadow is incorporated into all their retreats, services, and products available through their online shop.
