He has worked as a Personal Trainer for Kirklees Council for 1 year and as an MMA Coach for Caged Steel Academy for 2 years. Furthermore, he has provided MMA and Grappling coaching for Tiger Muay Thai in Leeds for 1 year and served as the Under 12s Rugby League Coach at Wyke Middle School for 1 year.
In terms of his own competition record, Mark “Spen” Spencer has fought as a professional Mixed Martial Arts Fighter internationally and on Cage Warriors. His accomplishments include winning the Bronze Medal in the Kudo Rome open championship in 2022, winning the Gold Medal in the British Masters BJJ in the Ultra Heavy Weight (Masters 2) category in 2018, and winning the Silver Medal in the British Masters BJJ in the Heavy Weight (Masters 1) category in the same year.
