The Brass Barre Pole Studio at orchardgateway is Singapore's top pole dance school, offering a variety of classes including pole dance, exotic dance, and flexibility classes for all levels, from absolute beginners to high advanced. Pole dancing is not just a sport that trains strength and discipline, but also a dance that celebrates the beauty of the human form, regardless of age or body type.
The studio features 38 mm spinny and static brass poles that are 3. 8 metres tall, manufactured by Pussycat Poles Singapore and used in pole dance competitions around the world. The genuine brass poles offer the ultimate grip, allowing dancers to perfect their tricks quicker with better form and confidence, thanks to their absorbent qualities.
The team of experienced instructors at The Brass Barre are passionate about helping students step out of their comfort zones and reach new heights. They focus not only on improving fitness levels but also on watching students' confidence grow and seeing them shine. The studio has been recognised for its contribution to the arts, being selected as one of the Singapore Night Festival's 10 Homecoming Artists in 2017 and producing the first pole dance production at The Victoria Theatre in January 2018.
The studio believes that women should dance for themselves, expressing themselves through pole dancing in a way that feels authentic to them. With students ranging from 18 to over 70 years old, The Brass Barre aims to inspire women of all ages and backgrounds to embrace pole dancing as a form of self-expression and physical activity.
In addition to regular classes, The Brass Barre offers Pole Gold classes tailored to senior women aged 50 and above, allowing them to move at a slower pace and focus on beginner-level spins and choreography. The studio also has a performance team called Rose Diamonds, made up of cancer survivors, supporters, and seniors who aim to create awareness about life after cancer and show that survivors and the elderly can lead active and fulfilling lives through pole dancing.
