The Stan Schmidt School of Karate trains people in Shotokan Dynamic Karate in Sandton and Midrand, from age 4. It is a JKA-recognised karate school with classes for children and adults at three venues, blending traditional kata and kumite with self-defence, grappling and a structured approach to fitness and life skills. The programme is taught under Sensei Janine Friend, supporting beginners through to established karate students.
