Welcome to Thaxted Yoga, a serene and inviting yoga studio located in the picturesque town of Stanbrook, Thaxted. Owned by Lolli Kimpton, a knowledgeable and experienced yoga teacher, Thaxted Yoga offers a wide range of yoga classes, workshops, and events for individuals of all ages and abilities.
Lolli believes that yoga and mindfulness are practises that can be embraced by anyone, regardless of their fitness level or previous experience. With a warm and inclusive atmosphere, Thaxted Yoga provides a welcoming space for individuals to explore the numerous benefits of yoga.
Lolli's yoga journey began in 1973 when she discovered the transformative power of transcendental meditation and yoga. These practises became her lifeline as she navigated the demanding world of the movie business. Over the years, Lolli deepened her understanding of yoga through various courses and experiences, including Thai yoga massage, Ayurvedic medicine, Shiatsu massage, and NLP.
In 2016, Lolli undertook the British Wheel of Yoga training with Tara Fraser and expanded her knowledge of yoga philosophy and practises. She then began teaching private clients in 2000, sharing her passion for yoga and its transformative qualities. In 2017, Lolli joined Thaxted Yoga as a teacher, and in December 2019, she became the proud owner of the studio.
Lolli's vision for Thaxted Yoga is to create a safe and nurturing space where individuals can come together to practise yoga, forge new friendships, and cultivate a sense of community. With a variety of classes on offer, including Hatha Flow, Restorative Yoga, and Gentle Yoga, there is something for everyone at Thaxted Yoga.
