Welcome to TBC Field Archers Inc. , a highly respected archery club located in Upper Hermitage, South Australia. Established in 1979 by a group of individuals with a passion for archery, TBC has since become a prominent Field Archery Club in the state.
Field archery is the main focus of our club, and it involves shooting at targets of varying and often unmarked distances, usually in woodland and rough terrain. Our club offers a challenging field archery course consisting of 20 targets, situated on 35 acres of picturesque hilly terrain. For those looking to practise and receive coaching, we also have a flat and easily accessible coaching and practise area.
In addition to our regular targets, TBC boasts over forty 3D targets that are used in club competitions. We also have a substantial practise range where members can practise all day from ten metres to thirty metres. Our target facilities cater to a wide variety of archery equipment levels and types.
Coaching is available for beginners every Sunday between 9:30am and 11:00am. This is a great opportunity for those new to archery to learn and develop their skills. We also hold regular competitions at the club level, with an average of 9 Trophy Shoots per year. No matter your archery ability or age, there is a grade available to suit everyone.
During the Daylight Saving months, we offer a Wednesday evening 3D competition for the more experienced archers. For those seeking more intense competition, we also provide opportunities for participation at the state and national levels.
Aside from the competitive aspect, TBC also encourages family participation in archery, whether as archers themselves or as spectators. Archery is a unique sporting activity that can be enjoyed by individuals of all ages, from 8 to 80 and beyond. It is a sport that allows all family members to compete at the same time and venue, but within their own class.
