Tasman Swimming Pool is a community swim club located in Nubeena, Tasmania. This swim club, managed by the Lions of Tasman Swimming Pool committee, aims to provide a safe and enjoyable swimming experience for the local community. The committee is a subcommittee of the Tasman Lions Club and is dedicated to running the pool on behalf of the community. They welcome members of the community to participate and get involved in the committee's activities.
The swimming pool is open to the public outside of school hours and follows safety guidelines by allowing a maximum of 10 people in the pool at one time. The season for 2023/2024 starts from Saturday 11th November 2023 and ends on Friday 19th April 2024. Please note that the pool committee reserves the right to close the pool and cancel a booking if water quality or unplanned maintenance issues arise.
To access the pool, bookings must be made in advance. Season bookings are available for $220, and a minimum of 20 sessions must be booked. These season bookings are only available for purchase from Friday 3rd November to Friday 10th November 2023. After this period, casual bookings can be made at $16 per session.
Once the payment has been processed successfully, the pool entry code will be emailed to the customer. Detailed booking instructions can be obtained by contacting the club for support.
It is important to note that the pool hirer, not each individual swimmer, must have a current CPR qualification from an accredited course and must be present at each session booked. A copy of the CPR qualification must be uploaded through the club's website. The verification process for the CPR certificate is done by volunteer committee members, so it may take some time to receive a response. Users are encouraged to register and upload their CPR certificate at the beginning of the season to avoid delays in making pool bookings.
According to Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines, first aid skills can be renewed every three years, but resuscitation skills of an accredited course must be renewed every 12 months. Therefore, a hirer's CPR certificate must be within the date when making a booking.
To stay updated with the latest news and updates from the Tasman Swimming Pool, it is recommended to like their Facebook page. The club encourages the community to engage with them on social media to stay informed about facility updates and upcoming events.
Overall, Tasman Swimming Pool offers a welcoming and safe environment for the local community to enjoy swimming and water activities. The committee's commitment to maintaining a high standard of safety and maintaining a clean and well-maintained facility ensures a positive swimming experience for all members.
