Tanya James School of Dance

Students who have found their passion for dance, and countless memories made within our dance family. We are proud to say that Tanya James School of Dance has been an integral part of the Knoxfield community since 1989.

At Tanya James School of Dance, we are more than just a dance school we are a dance family. We welcome everyone with open arms, whether you are a returning student or new to the world of dance. We strive to create a fun, caring, and nurturing environment for all our students.

Our commitment to providing a child safe environment for dance education and performance is unwavering. We prioritise safe dance techniques and ensure that our students have a positive and enjoyable experience. Whether you are dancing for fun or pursuing a career in dance teaching, we are here to support you every step of the way.

We offer a wide range of dance classes for students from 2 years of age to adults. Our classes include Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Classical Ballet, Contemporary, and Acrobatics. We cater to both recreational students and those who wish to pursue their teaching diploma through the State Dance Association (SDA) syllabus.

One of the highlights of our dance calendar is our end-of-year performances. These performances showcase the talent and hard work of our students, and they are a true celebration of dance. You can catch a glimpse of these performances by checking out our photos and videos on Facebook and Instagram.

Our studio is located at Carrington Park Multi-Purpose Facility, 20 O'Connor Rd, Knoxfield. You can find us behind Bunnings Scoresby on Ferntree Gully Rd. We are open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30pm to 8:30pm.

For new students, we offer 2 x FREE Trial Classes to help you get a taste of what we have to offer. To register for these trial classes, simply click here. Our 2024 classes will commence on Tuesday, 30 January.
