Tango on The Bay is a renowned dance school located in Dromana, Australia. This vibrant studio offers a variety of classes, courses, practicas, private lessons, and social events, specialising in the elegant and passionate dance form of Argentine Tango. Tango on The Bay collaborates with Tango Bajo, one of Melbourne's oldest and most respected Argentine Tango Studios, to provide students with top-notch instruction and a thriving tango community.

The founders and owners of Tango on The Bay are Meg Thomson and William (Bill) Jarman. Meg is a devoted social dancer and tango event organiser who relocated to Dromana in February 2021. Despite leaving her tango family and regular lessons behind in Melbourne, Meg was determined to create a vibrant tango community on the Mornington Peninsula. She approached her friend and esteemed tango teacher, Bill Jarman, the Director and Principal Teacher of Tango Bajo, who gladly accepted the invitation to become Tango on The Bay's resident teacher.

Bill is renowned for his exceptional teaching skills and awe-inspiring social dancing.

Tango on The Bay prides itself on more than just teaching steps. Their instructors, led by Bill Jarman, inspire and guide students to develop into skilled and confident social dancers. By combining their creative vision with technical expertise honed over decades, the Tango on The Bay team offers a unique and rewarding learning experience. Bill, in particular, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the studio.

He began performing tango in New Zealand in 1990, and later pursued post-graduate studies in Dance Choreography at the Victorian College of the Arts. As a qualified tertiary dance teacher, Bill is recognised as an exponent of Nuevo Tango in both Argentina and Australia.
