The senior instructor at the Tamworth Dojo is Senpai Steven Hill, a former State and National Champion. To participate in the training, interested individuals can watch a class to get a feel for the training structure or join right in. There's no pressure to immediately join, and the instructors ensure a welcoming atmosphere for all. Simply arrive before the start of the class and speak to the instructor to join in. Comfortable appropriate clothing such as tracksuit pants and a t-shirt are recommended, along with a water bottle for rehydration during and after the class.

In addition to regular classes, Tamworth Kyokushin Karate also offers the opportunity to experience seminars conducted by Shihan Mark Tyson. These seminars cover a wide variety of training and full contact kumite applications. Depending on the request, seminars can range from 3 to 6 hours in length. Shihan Mark Tyson has held seminars at various dojos across Australia, covering topics such as offensive and defensive knockdown techniques, tournament strategies, mental preparation, fighting combinations, and more.
