Taieri Golf Club, also known as Taieri Lakes Golf Course, offers a challenging 18 hole championship course located just minutes south of Dunedin in the North Taieri countryside of New Zealand. The course was designed by Commander John Derring Harris RN and covers 5924 metres of stunning natural surroundings, making full use of the four lakes and tree-lined fairways as challenging natural hazards.
Established in 1920, Taieri Golf Club has been on its present site since 1969 and has become a must-play destination for golf enthusiasts in the Dunedin metropolitan area. With its strategic layout and the recent addition of two new holes around a new lake in December 2020, the course has become even more picturesque and enticing for both local players and visitors.
Membership and green fees are available for those who want to play at Taieri Lakes Golf Course. Affiliated players (to a NZ Club) can enjoy a round for $40, while non-affiliated players pay $50. Taieri members receive a discounted rate of $30, and non-affiliated members pay $40. Students can play for $30, and school pupils have a special rate of only $10.
For those interested in becoming full members at Taieri, there is a special subscription rate of $560 for the first year. Other membership categories include Full ($900), Intermediate (ages 26 to 30, $470), Associate ($290), Junior (ages 19 to 25, $400), and School Pupil ($100). There is also a Weekday membership option available for $790.
Taieri Golf Club also offers various hire charges for golf carts ($35), half set clubs ($15), and trundlers ($5) for the convenience of its players.
