Founded in 2005 by Arjan Ashley Eaglestone, the club prides itself as an independent, family-run institution with over four decades of martial arts knowledge and two decades of teaching prowess.
Arjan Ashley, the chief instructor, brings a wealth of experience and dedication to the table. His philosophy is simple: martial arts is a lifelong journey. From beginners to seasoned practitioners, he ensures everyone continually learns and evolves. Teaching people of all ages, Arjan Ashley considers it a privilege to share his passion and expertise.
At Swindon Martial Arts, participants dive into Muay Thai, known as the art of the eight limbs, originating from Thailand and deeply rooted in history. Students also have the opportunity to train in Lethwei, Myanmar’s ancient art of the nine limbs, renowned for its powerful stand-up techniques and the use of the head as a formidable weapon.
Classes are structured to accommodate various schedules and skill levels. Tuesday evenings feature Lethwei and sparring sessions from 7pm to 8:30pm, while Thursday evenings focus on Muay Thai from 7pm to 8:15pm. On Saturdays, Ladies Mittfit runs from 9am to 9:55am, followed by Children’s Muay Thai from 10am to 10:45am. Sunday mornings offer an adult Muay Thai session from 10am to 11am.
Pricing is designed to be competitive and flexible. Children’s standing orders for one lesson per week start at £30 per month. Adults can choose between one lesson per week at £35 per month, two lessons per week at £56 per month, or three lessons per month at £65. There is a joining fee of £18.
