Mia combines her extensive knowledge and passion for yoga and homoeopathy to create a welcoming space for anyone seeking balance and well-being. With over a decade of yoga teaching experience and more than 20 years of personal practice, Mia specialises in Trauma Informed Yoga and Ashtanga Yoga. She is also working towards a Licentiate in Homoeopathy.
At Sunbeam Yoga and Homoeopathy, located between Wareham and Corfe Castle, Mia aims to enrich lives through yoga and homoeopathy. Her classes are fun, friendly, and inclusive, catering to all levels. Whether you're a beginner or experienced yogi, Mia adjusts poses to individual abilities and focuses on the importance of breath. Each class ends with a meditative body scan and the soothing sounds of the Tibetan singing bowl.
Mia also offers Therapeutic Yoga, known as trauma informed yoga. This practice considers individuals who have experienced trauma, providing a safe space for peace and healing. Mia guides students through postures that promote a transition from crisis to calm, considering the adrenal, skeletal, endocrine, digestive, cardiovascular, and lymphatic systems.
As a registered homoeopath, Mia believes in treating the whole person and addressing the root causes of ailments. During initial consultations, she considers lifestyle, eating habits, temperament, personality, sleep patterns, and medical history to form a comprehensive understanding of each individual. This approach helps Mia match symptoms to the most suitable homoeopathic medicine, addressing physical, mental, and emotional issues.
