Sukha Yoga Club is a welcoming and inclusive yoga studio located in Basingstoke, New Zealand. The studio is dedicated to promoting the practise of yoga and creating a nurturing space for individuals to explore their mind, body, and spirit through the art of yoga.
After the relaxation of lockdown rules, Sukha Yoga Club has now moved to the Vyne community school at RG21 5 PB. The studio is situated on the second floor, providing a bit of exercise before the class begins. The space is equipped with good ventilation, a wooden floor, and mirrors for those who find them helpful.
The class is held on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm and has a duration of 60 minutes, although it will soon be returning to its usual 90-minute sessions. The cost of attending the class is 7. 50 for the first night, and then 7. 50 per session for the rest of the term.
New members are also offered one free class to get started.
Sukha Yoga Club is run by a small committee who are dedicated to ensuring the smooth operation of the studio. They handle tasks such as organising the studio, managing membership, setting term dates, and addressing any other matters concerning the running of the club.
To keep members informed and connected, Sukha Yoga Club has a WhatsApp group where updates, changes, and other important information can be easily shared among the community.
At Sukha Yoga Club, the aim is to offer a variety of yoga styles to cater to a range of preferences and abilities. Some different styles of yoga include Ashtanga, Scaravelli, Iyengar, Yin/Yang, Pregnancy, Flow, DRU, and Hot yoga. The studio believes that each style has its unique benefits and encourages beginners to try different styles to find the ones that resonate with them.
