Studio iO

Studio iO is a yoga studio and fitness centre located in the heart of Brighton, New Zealand. Founded in 2012 by Holly, a dedicated yoga teacher with 15 years of experience, Studio iO was created with the vision of providing a space that is far away from dark and cold village halls. Instead, Holly wanted to create a light-filled and tranquil space where people would immediately feel calm and at ease.

The studio offers a beautiful and spacious environment that serves as the perfect blank canvas for various creative work. Whether it's yoga, Pilates, meditation, or other bodywork classes, Studio iO provides the ideal setting for practitioners to practise and teach. With its serene and intimate atmosphere, Studio iO has gained popularity among yoga and Pilates enthusiasts in Brighton.

The studio space is not only suitable for regular classes, but it also welcomes dancers, theatre makers, artists, and performers to practise and choreograph. It even has ceiling hooks for aerial yoga and circus skills. Additionally, the studio is a favourite location for photoshoots and film, with its abundant natural light and the option for blackout if needed. Studio iO's space is also frequently used for workshops, talks, and longer day events.

It even has a small kitchenette where tea and coffee can be provided during the events.

The main yoga studio at Studio iO is 9. 4m long and 3. 1m wide, with overhead roof lights that provide plenty of natural light. The studio can accommodate a maximum of 11 yoga mats and also offers chairs, yoga blocks, bolsters, blankets, and straps for use.

The rates for studio hire are affordable, with preferential rates available for charities, not-for-profit organisations, and students.

In addition to the main studio, Studio iO also has a treatment room that is perfect for massage therapists, bodyworkers, and beauty technicians. The treatment room is 3. 5m long and 3. 0m wide, and while it is dressed with soft furnishings such as plants and ceramics, hirers are required to bring their own massage bed, blankets, and towels.
