In recent years, Stratton United has achieved significant success in the field of girls' football. At the Somerset FA annual awards ceremony, the club was honoured with the Squad Girls Programme of the Year award for the 22/23 season. The club recognises the efforts of Tom Bona, Ash Preece, the players, and parents for this wonderful achievement.
Stratton United is a club that welcomes boys and girls aged six and above. It prides itself on being inclusive, open, and friendly. The club encourages its players to play the game the right way, discouraging cheating, bad language, goal-hanging, abuse of officials, and foul play. The teams do not solely focus on winning but also strive to enjoy competing, learn the game, make new friends, have fun, and develop as players and individuals.
The club firmly believes that children of all abilities and from any background should have the opportunity to get involved in football and be part of a team. Additionally, Stratton United offers free places and kit to children from families in receipt of Free School Meals. The team managers are fully qualified FA licenced coaches, and all club volunteers are CRC/DBS checked by the Football Association.
