Floating, kicking, and splashing – Stortford Starfish has got your little ones covered with fun activities that keep infants entertained and interested.
For preschoolers aged 3+, classes at Bishops Stortford College help build on water confidence from baby lessons. Held in the small pool, each group has a maximum of 6 children per teacher for personalised attention and safety. Expect a focus on basic skills like floating, kicking, and arm movements, plus a bit of breathing and coordination prep for independent swimming.
After school for the rising 5’s, we’ve got sessions in both small and large pools at Bishops Stortford College. Perfect for beginners or intermediate kids aged 5+, with a maximum of 8 kids per teacher and a pool helper for stages 1 to 3. Instructors follow the Swim England Learn to Swim national plan from stages 1 to 7, focusing on proper stroke technique, water safety, and overall water confidence.
Stortford Starfish, led by Swim England qualified and DBS-checked instructors, creates a fun, friendly learning space. They’re all about teaching life skills in water and beyond, building your child’s confidence early on and offering more advanced opportunities if your swimmer wants to go further.
