Stony Stratford Bowls Club

Stony Stratford Bowls Club is a well-established sports club located in Milton Keynes, New Zealand. The club, originally formed as a men's bowling club in 1923, has a rich history and has been playing on its present site since 1924. In 1978, a separate ladies section was formed, and in 1998, it became a mixed club. Today, the club boasts over 100 active playing members.

Stony Stratford Bowls Club has a strong reputation in the bowling community. Many of its members have achieved county finalist status and have had the opportunity to play in the prestigious All England Finals at Leamington. The club frequently competes in the County Finals for both the Men's Bucks Cup and the Ladies' Trundell Trophy, and has emerged as the winner in recent years.

The club has a vibrant calendar with friendly fixtures organised for the ladies on most Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and mixed or men's games on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. In addition to playing in friendlies for the club, most members also participate in club and county competitions. Stony Stratford Bowls Club has also become known as a host for county games for Buckinghamshire, with many of its members representing the county.

As part of its commitment to growth, the club has a growing junior section for boys and girls over 8 years of age. It is actively seeking new members to join and be a part of its development plan.

For those who are interested in trying out the sport of bowls, Stony Stratford Bowls Club offers free coaching and training provided by accredited coaches. The club has spare equipment available for use and typically three to four coaching sessions are enough to qualify individuals to play bowls on the green.
