Founded in 1956, St. Margaret Sailing Club has a rich history of promoting tranquility and community on the bay. Dr. Arthur Murray and a group of friends decided to introduce sailing to the area in order to reduce the noise of outboard motors and provide a peaceful environment for residents and visitors to enjoy.
The mission of St. Margaret Sailing Club is to provide infrastructure and high-quality instruction, competition, leisurely sailing, and other boating activities to our members. We aim to build a strong sense of community and camaraderie both on and off the water, enhancing our members' ability to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of St. Margaret's Bay.
