


St Finbar's Netball Club, located in Melbourne, is a thriving sports club that welcomes new members of all ages and abilities. As a part of the Sandringham District Netball Association, the club's teams, ranging from Under 9's to Open Age, have the privilege of playing and training at the prestigious Thomas Street Courts in Hampton.
The club takes pride in its Woolworths NetSetGO Programme, specifically designed for children in year 1 and 2. This programme aims to introduce young ones to the fundamentals of netball and foster their interest and love for the sport. The club was founded over three decades ago by Ann Ryan, who had a vision to promote and encourage school-age participants to engage in sports. The club emphasises the importance of learning new skills, making lifelong friendships, and experiencing the camaraderie and teamwork that come with being a part of a team.
St Finbar's Netball Club is led by a dedicated committee, consisting of individuals who are passionate about the sport and the development of their players. The committee members include Michelle Thomas (President), Claire Story (Vice President and Team Manager Coordinator), Jo Morley (Treasurer and Administration), Adelaide Mason (Secretary), Andrea Buckeridge (Coach Coordinator), Sharyn Cunningham (Uniform Coordinator), Karlie Jackett-Simpson (Equipment Coordinator), Bridget Cooper (NetSetGO Coordinator), and Bridget Garrard (Child Safety Officer).
To register for the 2023 Winter Season, participants can utilise Netball Victoria's convenient Netball Connect platform. Whether new or existing players, this platform allows individuals to complete all necessary registration information in one spot. The upcoming 2023 season will commence on Saturday, 18th March 2023, and continue until Saturday, 9th September 2023, with no play during school holidays or long weekends. Registration fees for the 2023 season differ according to age groups. Juniors (including Saturday Under 9 comp) born between 1st January 2006 and 1st January 2016 (7-17 years old) will have a total fee of $349, which includes the Netball Victoria Junior Membership ($64) and St Finbar's Netball Club Club Fees ($285, with an Early Bird Discount Code). Senior players born before 31st December 2005 (18+) will pay a total fee of $369, which includes the Netball Victoria Senior Membership ($84) and Club Fees ($285, with an Early Bird Discount Code). Net Set Go players in Grade 1 and 2 will have a total fee of $237, which includes the Netball Victoria NSG Membership ($87) and Club Fees ($150).
Lastly, it is important to note that there will be a formal Under 9 GO Competition at the completion of the Net Set Go programme, beginning in Term 3. An additional cost of $135 is associated with this competition.
