Stepz in Time is a dance school located in Glasgow's Southside, with classes held in both Croftfoot and Battlefield. The school is run by Miss Lorraine, an experienced dancer and qualified teacher who has been teaching dance since 1973. Miss Lorraine is an ABATD (Tap) certified instructor and is also Disclosure Scotland checked and fully insured.
Stepz in Time offers a range of dance classes for children of all ages, starting from 3 years old. The classes follow the BATD (British Association of Teachers of Dancing) exam standards, ensuring that students receive a high standard of dance education. The classes are conducted in a welcoming, fun, and friendly environment, allowing students to learn at their own pace and make new friends.
At the end of each session, Stepz in Time holds a dancing display, giving students the opportunity to show off their achievements to family and friends. This display is a great way for parents to see their child's progress and for children to showcase their skills and talents.
Enrolment for the new term is now open, and classes will begin on Thursday 18th August in Croftfoot and Monday 22nd August in Battlefield. Limited numbers are available at this time, so it is advised to enrol early to secure a spot. Registration can be done online or by contacting Stepz in Time via text.
The Croftfoot class schedule includes classes for various age groups and dance styles. The age 3-6 class is held from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm, and it focuses on tap, modern, and cheer pom. The P3-P6 class, held from 5:30 pm to 7 pm, expands on these styles and includes majorettes. There is also a seniors class from 6 pm to 7:30 pm, which is exclusively for experienced dancers and covers tap, modern, cheer, and majorettes.
The class uniform is specific for each time slot. The 4:30 pm class requires a black sleeveless leotard, red tights, white tap shoes, and white ballet shoes. The 5:30 pm and 6 pm classes require a black sleeveless leotard, black lycra stirrup tights, and black tap shoes, as well as ballet or jazz shoes (with no heel taps for students below P5). To enrol your child in Stepz in Time, you can call 07796525432 or use their new online registration system. The enrolment form requires your name, address, contact number, and the child's name and age. You will also be asked about your child's previous dance experience and how you heard about Stepz in Time.
Stepz in Time is based at Croftfoot United Free Church on Carmunnock Road in Croftfoot, Glasgow. The classes run on Thursdays from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
