About

Stagecoach Performing Arts in York, we believe in nurturing the creative courage of children and teenagers through our weekly classes and holiday workshops. Our goal is not only to teach them how to sing, dance, and act on stage, but also to equip them with skills that will benefit them in all aspects of their lives.

At Stagecoach, we welcome children of all aptitudes, whether they have dreams of pursuing a career in the performing arts or simply want to have fun and learn new skills to share with family and friends. Our classes are designed to create a safe, fun, and welcoming environment where children can grow in confidence and develop lifelong skills.

For our youngest performers, aged 4–6 years, we offer Early Stages classes. These classes last for 90 minutes and are held weekly during term time. Through singing, dancing, and drama activities, children in Early Stages classes learn to express themselves creatively and gain confidence in their abilities.

Our Main Stages classes cater to children and teenagers aged 6–18 years. These classes run for 3 hours per week during term time and provide a platform for students to explore their creativity and hone their singing, dancing, and drama skills.

During school holidays, we offer Holiday Workshops where kids can have fun while improving their performing arts skills. These workshops culminate in performances in front of family and friends, giving the children a chance to showcase what they have learned.

For students aged 15 years and above, we offer Further Stages classes, which provide advanced training to those with a passion and flair for the performing arts. These in-depth classes help students refine their singing, dancing, and acting abilities.

At Stagecoach, we also offer opportunities for those interested in becoming performing arts teachers. Submit your CV for local school vacancies and find out more about our teaching diploma courses, which are designed for experienced and skilled performing arts professionals looking to develop their teaching practise.

We pride ourselves on creating a supportive and inclusive environment where children can express themselves freely and explore their creativity. But don't just take our word for it hear from other Stagecoach parents who have seen the positive impact on their children's lives.
