Established in 2001, SURF is a merger of two esteemed clubs, Tokoroa and Tokoroa Pirates, which were founded in 1958 and 1973 respectively. This melding of history and tradition has resulted in a vibrant and dynamic club that is deeply rooted in the local community.
At SURF, rugby is not just a sport; it is a way of life. Our club fosters a strong sense of whanau (family) among its members, creating an inclusive and supportive environment for players of all ages and abilities. Currently, SURF boasts an impressive lineup of teams, including two men's rugby teams, one women's rugby team, and an astounding 18 junior boys and girls (J. A. B) teams. This diverse range of teams ensures that players of all ages and genders have an opportunity to engage in the exciting and exhilarating sport of rugby.
