The golf course is easily accessible from the M3 and M27, with convenient transport links. It is open seven days a week and operates from 7:30 am to 4 pm. However, please note that during autumn and winter, the course may close due to inclement weather or poor ground conditions. Any closures will be communicated on the club's Facebook page, typically posted around 8 am each morning.

Facilities and services at Southampton Municipal Golf Course include PGA qualified coaching, practise nets, a putting green, a professional golf shop, a large practise area, a chipping green, and available buggy and trolley hire. Season tickets are available for different categories, including seven-day adult, seven-day intermediate (17–23 years), and seven-day junior.
