Are you the owner of Sopilka Ukrainian Dance School?

Sopilka Ukrainian Dance School, founded in 1971 under the direction of Vicky Adams, is a vibrant and dynamic dance school located in Winnipeg. Originally known as the South Winnipeg School of Dance, the school later adopted the name Sopilka, after the traditional Ukrainian woodwind instrument. Sopilka Ukrainian Dance School has been dedicated to preserving and promoting Ukrainian culture through dance for over 50 years.
The school prides itself on its team of talented and energetic instructors who focus on developing skill, technique, artistry, and enriching knowledge of Ukrainian culture through dance. Classes are held in a professional environment at Kazka Dance Collective, complete with sprung floors, mirrors, and barres to ensure the dancers' physical health and artistic growth.
Sopilka is equipped with an extensive costume wardrobe, allowing most students the opportunity to borrow full costumes provided by the school. Maintenance of the costumes and funding for new pieces are covered by a Costume Rental Fee built into the tuition fees, along with support from fundraising activities. The school's dedication to excellence has earned it numerous awards, including Top Ukrainian Dance School at the Manitoba Ukrainian Dance Festival.
In addition to its regular classes, Sopilka Ukrainian Dance School offers various programs and events throughout the year, such as the Myron Washchyshyn Memorial Scholarship, summer camps, and virtual Christmas celebrations. The school is deeply rooted in the Ukrainian community, celebrating traditions and fostering a sense of cultural pride among its students.
