Somerset Dance Umbrella

Somerset Dance Umbrella, based in Wells, offers a smashing variety of dance classes like Jazz, Ballet, Tap, and plenty more. Led by the brilliant Sandra Mitchell Davey, who has 25 years in the biz, they aim to provide top-notch dance training for all ages and levels, ensuring everyone can find their groove.

Sandra, trained at the prestigious Laine Theatre Arts, is a whiz at choreography and loves helping her students shine. She’s won numerous awards and is super skilled at getting the best out of her dancers.

They’ve got specific classes for boys, private lessons, and even professional training. Annual exams are held with the ISTD, and they put on theatre shows where all students can show off their moves. For those serious about their dancing, there are competitions to enter, giving students more chances to perform and hone their skills.

Parents are welcome to watch classes anytime, so they can see how their kids are progressing. Somerset Dance Umbrella also works closely with Wells Ballet School to ensure top technical training, all while making sure students have a blast.

For those into singing and musical theatre, Amanda Salmon from Yorkshire offers stellar coaching. She’s trained at Italia Conti Academy in London and has a fab theatre credit list including Les Misérables and Mamma Mia.
