Jade Wood Yoga Club is excited to invite you to a special event featuring Somatic Yin Yoga. This unique yoga session is designed to help you connect with your body, breath, and life force, promoting overall physical and mental well-being.
During the session, participants will have the opportunity to experience a blend of supported yin postures, somatic movements, and myofascial release techniques. By integrating these different elements, the session aims to enhance flexibility, dissolve tension, and cultivate a deeper sense of body awareness.
In the passive yin postures, props will be used to support the body as you hold the poses for a few minutes. This gentle approach provides an opportunity for muscle and connective tissue relaxation, allowing you to access a state of deep release and relaxation.
Additionally, somatic movements will be incorporated to help you gain a better understanding of your unique movement patterns. Through these movements, you can expand your comfort in motion and discover a greater sense of ease and flow in your everyday activities.
To further enhance the benefits of the session, myofascial release exercises will be included. Similar to self-massage, these exercises focus on releasing tension in the fascia, improving circulation, and enhancing nerve flow throughout the body.
Whether you are new to yoga or have been practising for years, this session is suitable for individuals of all experience levels. There is no need to worry about previous yoga knowledge or flexibility levels – simply come as you are and wear comfortable clothing that allows for ease of movement.
