We believe that performing is an essential part of a dancer's development and strive to create opportunities for our students to shine on stage.

In addition to our regular classes and performance opportunities, SkyeDance also takes pride in its community engagement initiatives. We actively engage with the local community by leading intergenerational projects, where students visit nursing and care homes to dance and interact with residents. These projects have proven to be incredibly beneficial, both physically and mentally, particularly for those living with dementia. We also offer weekly classes specifically tailored for young people living with different disabilities and often provide workshops to disability groups across the island.

As a dance charity based on the Isle of Skye, our objective is to provide young people with the opportunity to learn new skills, enhance their personal development, and most importantly, have fun through the teaching of dance. We offer a variety of styles and age groups, ensuring that there is something for everyone at SkyeDance. From Ballet, Jazz, Creative, Commercial, and Contemporary to workshops in Musical Theatre, Street, and Bollywood, our classes cater to diverse interests and passions.

At SkyeDance, we are committed to promoting inclusivity and breaking down stereotypes. Our Boys Only Class aims to reduce stigma around males participating in dance and encourages them to express themselves through body movement. We firmly believe that dance is for everybody, regardless of age, gender, or ability.

With our purpose-built dance studio located at Portree Primary School, we provide a dedicated space for our students to train and express themselves. Our classes are led by fully qualified dance teachers who are experienced in a range of styles. They are also fully PVG certified, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for our students.
