Activities, we require all skaters to wear a certified ice skating helmet. Ski helmets are not recommended for ice skating, as they do not provide the necessary protection for falls on hard ice surfaces.
2. Are there any age restrictions for skating classes in Montreal? Our learn to skate program is open to skaters of all ages, with classes available for tots (ages 3-5), children (ages 6-12), and adults. For figure skating and power skating programs, we recommend skaters have completed the learn to skate program or have equivalent skating skills.
3. Do I need to bring my own skates for skating lessons in Montreal? Skates are not provided for skating lessons, so we recommend bringing your own skates. However, we do have limited rental skates available on a first-come, first-served basis.
We also offer skate sharpening services for a small fee.

We offer learn to skate and figure skating lessons all year round for tots, children, teens and adults. We also provide private skating lessons so you can progress at your own pace.
You can take lessons at several locations in Montreal, including indoor rinks, outdoor rinks and synthetic ice skating rinks depending on the season. For example, summer 2026 classes run on Fridays and Saturdays with beginner roller skate sessions at set times.
You can register using our Skating Programs and registration steps. Summer 2026 beginner roller skate sessions are listed at $149 per skater for tots and $199 per skater for children ages 6-12 and adults 18+.
