At the Silverstream Bowling Club, we pride ourselves on providing the ultimate bowling experience. Situated in the beautiful and peaceful surroundings of Silverstream, Upper Hutt, our two outdoor greens are renowned as some of the best in the Wellington bowling community. Whether you're a seasoned bowler or looking to try something new, our club offers the perfect venue for you to enjoy bowls.

Bowls is often perceived as a sport for retirees, but it is much more than just a pastime. It requires skill, strategy, and tactical thinking, making it an engaging and addictive game. Our club welcomes men and women of all ages to participate in social and competitive events throughout the season. In addition to our bowls facilities, we also offer petanque at our club. This popular French game is enjoyed by many of our members, both competitively and socially. With seven petanque pistes available, you can try your hand at this exciting game and join our vibrant petanque community.

Our club boasts a membership of over 100 individuals, with around 60 playing bowls and approximately 20 playing petanque. The remaining members enjoy the social atmosphere and participate casually. We also welcome non-members who wish to play in specially arranged social events.

Maintaining our greens and pistes to a high standard is a priority for us. In 2014, one of our bowling greens was renovated, and both our greens and pistes receive regular care and attention. Our clubhouse, which underwent renovation in 2010, provides a comfortable and inviting setting for socialising and club events.

If you're looking for a place to host your own event, our clubhouse, greens, and pistes are available for hire. Whether it's a corporate gathering, social gathering, or special occasion, our facilities offer a picturesque and welcoming venue.

To ensure that our members receive the support they need, we have qualified bowls and petanque coaches ready and willing to offer guidance and tips. We also have two accredited level 1 umpires who ensure fair play and uphold the rules of the game.
