Join Boot Routes for the Silver Navigation Award Course happening on Saturday, September 28th and Sunday, September 29th in 2024. Dive deeper into your navigation skills from the Bronze level with a focus on navigating away from paths, fine-tuning compass work, and choosing appropriate techniques for open country navigation.
This course will take place in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, and the Peak District, providing a mix of outdoor classroom sessions, map reading and compass practice, and full-day hill navigation with individual assessments. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a well-deserved NNAS certificate.
Remember to pack your walking boots, waterproofs, a rucksack with snacks and water, and a big dose of enthusiasm for navigation. The course fee is £125 per person, with group discounts available. This includes the night navigation session, two days of instruction and evaluation, an NNAS certificate, and a tree planted in your name by Trees For Life.
