Shoal Bay Sportfishing Tours is excited to announce a local fishing event that is sure to reel in the interest of avid anglers in Howard Springs! With our Darwin barra fishing tours and mud crab tours back in action after a brief hiatus due to COVID-19, we are eager to make up for lost time and create some unforgettable fishing memories.
The recent months have seen the build-up producing some impressive catches, despite slightly fewer numbers of fish. It's been suggested that the lackluster wet seasons of the past few years may be the cause, but there's good news on the horizon. Forecasts for this upcoming wet season are optimistic, with plenty of rain on the cards. This bodes well for an exciting off-season ahead, filled with new opportunities to snag some fantastic fish!
Now, let's talk about the mud crabs. We must be honest, folks – the mud crab numbers have been the lowest we've seen in 17 years of fishing in Shoal Bay. It's definitely been a challenge to rustle up a decent feed of these delectable crustaceans. However, we remain hopeful that a better wet season will rectify this predicament. We're keeping our fingers crossed and looking forward to a rebound in the mud crab population.
In the meantime, we invite all fishing enthusiasts to join us for this highly anticipated event. It's an opportunity to reconnect with fellow anglers, swap stories, and perhaps even exchange some valuable tips and tricks. So mark your calendars and get ready to cast your lines at our upcoming fishing event!
