At Shinbudo London Grappling Club, we primarily focus on Judo, but we also incorporate cross-training in other grappling arts such as SAMBO, Wrestling, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Our training philosophy revolves around practising grappling arts in a competitive yet friendly environment. We emphasise the importance of testing techniques against resisting opponents to ensure their effectiveness.
We are proud to have an exceptional and highly qualified Head Coach, Glenn Spiers, who holds a 5th dan in Judo and is a Level 4 coach under the British Judo Association. Glenn also trains Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Carlson Gracie London and holds a brown belt in BJJ. With his extensive experience and expertise, Glenn provides top-notch instruction and guidance to our members, ensuring that they receive the best training possible.
Our club operates on a “pay-as-you-play” basis, with affordable membership fees. Children's classes cost only 1 per class, while adult classes are priced at 5 per class for members with a club membership card. Additionally, we offer a free first class, and if you bring a friend to your second class, your second class is also free. Open mat sessions require a 2 mat fee, which goes towards our club's development fund.
We welcome individuals of all ages and skill levels to join our club. Interested individuals can simply turn up and watch or participate in a class. To avoid disappointment, it is recommended to first contact us via email at shinbudo. London.
