Rob would like to extend a warm welcome to all members of the sports community to the Shepperton Open Water Swim. Situated in Shepperton, Middlesex, this dedicated open water swim lake offers a secure and enjoyable environment for adult swimmers of all levels to swim in a natural setting.
Rob prioritises safety at Shepperton Open Water Swim. They have implemented specific swim session times and a booking-only policy to manage the number of swimmers and ensure adequate spacing. To guarantee a safe swimming experience, it is essential to secure a booking in advance as walk-ins are not permitted.
All swimmers are required to complete an annual health declaration form before participating or booking an induction. This form helps maintain a safe environment by ensuring personal information is up-to-date.
New swimmers need to contact Rob's team for an induction swim. During this session, safety rules specific to the lake will be reviewed, and a swim test will be conducted to ensure confidence and comfort in the open water setting.
Upon successful completion of the induction, swimmers will be registered in the system and provided with login details for booking and paying for future swims. Those already registered since 2020 can continue to book sessions using the Wellness Living Achieve app or through their website.
Shepperton Open Water Swim operates morning and evening sessions on Saturdays and Sundays from 7 am to 11 am. The lake is private property, accessible only during opening times. The gates are locked approximately half an hour after closing, so vehicles must not be left on site if you decide to go for a cycle or walk.
The lake is located at Ferris Meadow Lake, Ferry Lane, Shepperton, Middlesex TW17 9LH, sharing an entrance with Desborough Sailing Club. For directions, swimmers can use the What3Words app or contact Rob's team directly.
